{"id":3511,"date":"2025-02-01T11:16:10","date_gmt":"2025-02-01T02:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kmi2.com\/?page_id=3511"},"modified":"2025-02-01T11:16:10","modified_gmt":"2025-02-01T02:16:10","slug":"7k-haggai","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.kmi2.com\/?page_id=3511","title":{"rendered":"7K-Haggai\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">7K-Haggai\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h.fkrq8ai0pe15_l\">Haggai Chapter 1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:1 (AMP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>1&nbsp;<\/sup>In the second year of Darius king [of Persia], in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came by means of Haggai the prophet [in Jerusalem after the Babylonian captivity] to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:2 (AMP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>2&nbsp;<\/sup>Thus says the Lord of hosts: These people say, The time is not yet come that the Lord\u2019s house should be rebuilt [although Cyrus had ordered it done eighteen years before].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:3 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>3&nbsp;<\/sup>Then the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:4 (AMP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>4&nbsp;<\/sup>Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses while this house [of the Lord] lies in ruins?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:5 (AMP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>5&nbsp;<\/sup>Now therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider your ways&nbsp;<em>and<\/em>&nbsp;set your mind on what has come to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:6 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>6&nbsp;<\/sup>You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:7 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>7&nbsp;<\/sup>This is what the Lord Almighty says: \u201cGive careful thought to your ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:8 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>8&nbsp;<\/sup>Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build the house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored,\u201d says the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:9 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>9&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cYou expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?\u201d declares the Lord Almighty. \u201cBecause of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:10 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>10&nbsp;<\/sup>Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:11 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>11&nbsp;<\/sup>I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains, on the grain, the new wine, the oil and whatever the ground produces, on men and cattle, and on the labor of your hands.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:12 (NASB)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>12&nbsp;<\/sup>Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God had sent him. And the people showed reverence for the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:13 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>13&nbsp;<\/sup>Then Haggai, the Lord\u2019s messenger, gave this message of the Lord to the people: \u201cI am with you,\u201d declares the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:14 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>14&nbsp;<\/sup>So the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of the whole remnant of the people. They came and began to work on the house of the Lord Almighty, their God,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 1:15 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>15&nbsp;<\/sup>on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month in the second year of King Darius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h.ggrptdmd45eg_l\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/www-kmi2-net\/biblical-teaching\/7k-bible\/7k-bible-old-testament\/7k-haggai#h.ggrptdmd45eg\"><\/a>Haggai Chapter 2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:1 (AMP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>1&nbsp;<\/sup>In the seventh month, on the twenty-first day of the month, in the second year of Darius king [of Persia], came the word of the Lord by the prophet Haggai, saying,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:2 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>2&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cSpeak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people. Ask them,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:3 (AMP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>3&nbsp;<\/sup>Who is left among you who saw this house in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Is not this in your sight as nothing in comparison to that?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:4 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>4&nbsp;<\/sup>But now be strong, O Zerubbabel,\u2019 declares the Lord. \u2018Be strong, O Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,\u2019 declares the Lord, \u2018and work. For I am with you,\u2019 declares the Lord Almighty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:5 (AMP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>5&nbsp;<\/sup>According to the promise that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit stands&nbsp;<em>and<\/em>&nbsp;abides in the midst of you; fear not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:6 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>6&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cThis is what the Lord Almighty says: \u2018In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:7 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>7&nbsp;<\/sup>I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,\u2019 says the Lord Almighty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:8 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>8&nbsp;<\/sup>\u2018The silver is mine and the gold is mine,\u2019 declares the Lord Almighty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:9 (AMP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>9&nbsp;<\/sup>The latter glory of this house [with its successor, to which Jesus came] shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts; and in this place will I give peace&nbsp;<em>and<\/em>&nbsp;prosperity, says the Lord of hosts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:10 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>10&nbsp;<\/sup>On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Haggai:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:11 (AMP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>11&nbsp;<\/sup>Thus says the Lord of hosts: Ask now the priests to decide this question of law:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:12 (NASB)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>12&nbsp;<\/sup>~\u2019If a man carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and touches bread with this fold, or cooked food, wine, oil, or any&nbsp;<em>other<\/em>&nbsp;food, will it become holy?&#8217;\u201d And the priests answered, \u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:13 (NASB)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>13&nbsp;<\/sup>Then Haggai said, \u201cIf one who is unclean from a corpse touches any of these, will&nbsp;<em>the latter<\/em>&nbsp;become unclean?\u201d And the priests answered, \u201cIt will become unclean.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:14 (NASB)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>14&nbsp;<\/sup>Then Haggai said, \u201d \u2018So is this people. And so is this nation before Me,\u2019 declares the Lord, \u2018and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:15 (AMP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>15&nbsp;<\/sup>And now, I pray you, consider what will happen from this day onward. Since the time before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the Lord, how have you fared?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:16 (AMP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>16&nbsp;<\/sup>Through all that time [the harvests have not fulfilled expectations, for] when one has gone expecting to find a heap [of sheaves] of twenty measures, there were but ten; when he has gone to the wine vat to draw out fifty bucketfuls from the press, there were only twenty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:17 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>17&nbsp;<\/sup>I struck all the work of your hands with blight, mildew and hail, yet you did not turn to me,\u2019 declares the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:18 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>18&nbsp;<\/sup>\u2018From this day on, from this twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, give careful thought to the day when the foundation of the Lord\u2019s temple was laid. Give careful thought:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:19 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>19&nbsp;<\/sup>Is there yet any seed left in the barn? Until now, the vine and the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree have not borne fruit. \u201c\u2018From this day on I will bless you.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:20 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>20&nbsp;<\/sup>The word of the Lord came to Haggai a second time on the twenty-fourth day of the month:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:21 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>21&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cTell Zerubbabel governor of Judah that I will shake the heavens and the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haggai 2:22 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>22&nbsp;<\/sup>I will overturn royal thrones and shatter the power of the foreign kingdoms.
