This scripture shows that people should fear God and respect civil authority. The civil servant (such as police and military) do not bear the sword in vain. This means that the use of lethal force is condoned by the scriptures to deal with those who are lawless and violent and a threat to society. A sword is a tool of death (not used to spank) but rather to execute those who are evil. Not bearing the sword in vain speaks of the authority of civil servants to execute justice and put villains to death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reason that a bible-believer who practices Judeo\/Christian culture has respect for law enforcement is that they are honoring God by honoring the civil authority God has placed over society. The bible refers to the civil servant (police and military) as God\u2019s servants. These men are agents of wrath to bring punishment upon the wrongdoer who commits crime and does evil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police are to protect and serve the citizens located within civilian jurisdictions within towns and cities and within rural areas (as a Sherriff in the U.S. would do). The military is and organized military force to protect the entire nation from threat of harm and destruction. They confront threats to the nation just as South Korean military personnel provide a defense force readiness against the threat of attack from North Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When a society breaks down and becomes lawless then there will be a noted \u201cincrease of disrespect\u201d and even abuse of those in law enforcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The police were attacked by godless illegal aliens who were allowed by (liberals under Biden) to enter the country. Many of these are violent gang members. The police could easily defend themselves with a baton and mace-spray but they do not dare to use these \u201claw enforcement tools\u201d because of the liberals running the New York City government. Police are under threat of losing their jobs or even serving jail time for so-called \u201cpolice brutality\u201d if they defend themselves against criminals in NY. These cop-beating migrants were gloating in arrogant manner showing a \u201cdouble-bird\u201d finger to cameras when they walked free (without jail time) after being released by liberals who control the legal system in NY. Criminals know that there is no risk of arrest or punishment in New York so they target that city for engaging in their crimes and theft and violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The godless atmosphere in liberal-run New York City is displayed by the disrespect for police in general and even those in the liberal-run \u201cprosecutors office\u201d will treat the police as aggressors and treat the criminals as the victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Again, this is a sign of the wholesale rejection of Judeo\/Christian culture and the great departure from biblical principles. If young people are not taught to fear God and respect civil authority as the bible commands then there will be lawlessness and anarchy prevalent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Romans 13:4\u20137 (NIV)<\/strong> The bible teaches that citizens are to submit to the civil authorities as a matter of conscience. They pay taxes so that the police will have the funding needed to protect the people from criminals. The bible teaches that the believer should pay taxes and render respect and honor to those in civil authority (such as police).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Romans 13:1\u20133 (NIV)<\/strong> Again, the bible clearly teaches that everyone should be subject to the governing authorities. There is no authority except that which God has established. So all civil authorities that exist are established by God. We therefore obey and respect and honor civil authority as we honor God who established this authority system. Those in authority are to execute God\u2019s judgment upon those who do evil so that the rest of the citizens can live in peace and have no fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Generally godless liberals were able to seize control of leadership positions with government (as seen in the government of New York City and Chicago and Los Angles and other liberal run cities) only because of women voters. California was once the most prosperous state in the U.S.A. but now it is being deserted by productive people who are leaving in droves. Nice homes are abandoned and looters break in and destroy the house only to salvage copper from pipes and wiring to be sold as scrap. Large areas of liberal-run cities are now desolate wastelands of destroyed businesses and ruined homes. Entire liberal-run cities have become a \u201cdebris field\u201d of garbage and discarded AIDS infected hypo-needles and human excrement on sidewalks left behind by the drug addicts residing in these now desolate areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Godless liberals want to destroy Judeo\/Christian culture and criminalize Christianity. This is why the nation is being destroyed as they have campaigns to \u201cDefund the Police\u201d and create anarchy and lawlessness. This is the doctrine of leftist communists who want to create anarchy so that they can impose their own authoritarian rule over the people (due to the anarchy they themselves have planned and fomented). Liberals serve \u201ccommunist ideology\u201d and do nothing to bring order and peace in society. But women are too stupid to see what is happening and lend their votes to those who actively destroy a once prosperous Judeo\/Christian nation.
