GED Millionaire

My own father never finished high school but only received his General Education Diploma (GED) while in the Army. However, after he passed away he left an estate worth millions of US dollars! He is an example of the fact that people can prosper even without a college degree. Today there are numerous millionaires among those who operate as skilled tradesmen and service personnel.

Mike Rowe is the host of the popular television show called “Dirty Jobs.” Mike has a good voice and a “clever-wit” that has drawn millions of viewers. Mike was invited to speak on the Dr. Phil show about the importance of youth learning trade skills instead of being pushed to attend “over-priced” colleges which can ensnare them with student load debt for the rest of their lives. In fact, a majority of young men should not attend college (unless they are pursuing a professional degree such as medicine or engineering or law) – where a degree is required. But for most young men there are a vast array of skilled labor positions available which go unfilled – as most youth are being pushed toward a college degree and overlook these lucrative skilled-labor jobs.

Mike Rowe has thousands of examples of young men making a good living from skilled-labor jobs. One example was a guy who started a septic-tank cleanout service. This was a service that others were not willing to do and so he was in high demand and people were willing to pay him a lot for his service. This septic tank businessman was actually a multi-millionaire from doing a “dirty-job” that others were unwilling to do.

Starting a Lawn Service Business

In the Midwest region of the United States they grow bluegrass lawns around the homes. I started a lawn service business in 1984 where I would spray weeds and apply fertilizer to make the grass grow. Home owners were happy to pay for this service because having a nice lawn increased their property value. These lawn service customers even began to compete with one another to see who had the best looking lawn. This was also a good business because I could purchased lawn chemicals by the ton (which was much cheaper than what the home owner could buy fertilizer for themselves). I even blended a “special mix” of fertilizer that included iron for the lawns in this region which lacked iron to make the grass green. So as a result I could apply fertilizer to the lawns of the customers for a lower price than what they could do it for themselves. The lawn fertilizer which was sold in the stores was “over-priced” and ineffective so my fertilizer was priced good and worked well. I gave this business to my brother in 1986 when I left to attend missions school in Oklahoma. Soon after my brother took over this business he was making $80,0000.00 USD per year for himself and he had six employees and provided an income for all of them also. Later he expanded to taking care of trees and also removed trees that were damaged by storms. Today he makes much more than when he first started so this is a good business which has increased in size every year. My brother has a degree in business administration but this same business could also be run by people who have no degree at all. It is another example of thousands of jobs and businesses that do not need a college degree.

Finding a Need and Fulfilling it

The secret to success is to find a need and fulfill that need for others. Many of today’s college graduates have degrees in things which have no practical value in the real world. This is why a majority of college graduates find themselves unemployed after graduation and unable to pay back their student loans. Instead, they could have gained a valuable trade skill and then gone out and started making a good living as “debt-free” entrepreneurs.

My brother’s oldest son at age 18, wanted to attend a bible school out of state. He had to raise his own money so he needed to create some income for himself. He happened to have a friend who started a roofing business. He made a deal with his friend to receive a percentage of every job he could sell for this friend’s company. This was good for his friend’s business and it was good for him as well. In just three months time he was able to sell enough roofing jobs to make the commission money that he needed to go to school. He was able to pay for all of his travel expenses and rent an apartment and pay tuition and pay living expenses for nine-months. Thus he attended a school without any student loans and he paid for his own tuition and living expenses just by doing some sales for three months.

Time Needed to Earn a Living

Another advantage of the lawn service business was that it allowed three-months vacation every year. Normally men will work about 50-hours a week for 52-weeks per year to make a living. But with the lawn service all of the labor was done within the “nine-month” growing season. This makes it possible for the business owner to take vacations and spend time with his family after the working season has been completed. So if a businessman made $80,000 USD per year of “take-home” pay (after taxes and expenses) and he earned this amount in just nine-months then it would be better than someone who made more but had to work 12-months of the year “non-stop” to bring in their income. So if a man increased his net-income to $120,000.00 per year (for nine-months labor) then that would be even better!

Companies Providing Employee Training

In the video linked above, Mike Rowe speaks to an technician working for CAT doing servicing on earth-moving equipment. This young man was fully trained by the company and now makes a good salary and he spent nothing for tuition and paid no money for going to college to learn this trade. Anyone who is willing to learn and willing to work could be trained for a high pay service job like this.

Military Veterans Needing Employment After the Military

I have linked the above image to an old video of Mike Rowe speaking about how 43% of the U.S. military veterans were living below the poverty line after they fulfilled their military service and were released into the civilian job market. This old Mike Rowe video is “grainy” and has poor imagery but the message is still relevant to this present time. It is a shame that U.S. military veterans were having trouble finding employment after their military service was completed when in fact there is a great number of unfulfilled skilled labor jobs available. Again, this seems to be a case where these unemployed men are not aware of the employment opportunities available to them.

Preparing Young Men for Future Employment

It is our plan to develop a program for South Korean young men to prepare them for employment after their military service is completed. This would work well also by incorporating such a program together with their mandatory South Korean military training.

See the link “Military Training – Affiliate Program” for more details.

Also, we have plans to create an fully automated living system that can produce energy and food and products. Such an automated system would greatly reduce the “curse of Adam” by which men currently labor by the sweat of their brow to earn a living for their families.

South Korea is Over

Of all of the countries on earth that are currently headed toward extinction, it is South Korea which is in the worst situation of them all. With the lowest birthrate on earth their population will soon die out of old age without the needed new babies being born to replace them. But the greatest reason for Koreans stopping having children or limiting family size is economics. The best jobs available in Korea are found with the Korean Chaebols (large conglomerates such as Hyundai and Samsung). But the competition is fierce to land such a job and only the best of the best (with the highest education) can get a job with these companies. This has lead millions of South Koreans to travel abroad looking for better opportunities.

See the link “Koreans in Diaspora” for more details.

Again, the main driver of “childlessness” is the “financial crisis” when young men abandon marriage because they fear they cannot afford to support a family. If these same young men could make a living wage and their wives could afford to stay at home as a “full-time” mother and homemaker then they could break the cycle of childlessness.

See the link “Financial Crisis Spikes Childlessness” for more details.

Diverting South Korean Extinction

Thus the key to solving the “extinction crisis” of the South Korean race is actually providing young men with a living wage so they can afford to marry.

See the link “Releasing Men for Marriage” for more details.

It is our goal to provide training and develop automated systems to produce “revenue streams” for South Korean young men so that they can afford to marry and have a family. Utilizing automation can increase income while decreasing their own labor input. This allows them to have more time at home needed for mentoring their own sons to become future leaders and rather than slaving virtually “non-stop” under the curse of Adam (just to earn enough for their basic food) to survive.
